"You're Invited - Our Tours"
To These Tours and Activities for the Reunion:
1. 1.5hr (air-conditioned) Non-Stop Trolley Tour With a Tour Guide
This trolley bus will take us around Fort Wayne, showing us the places we will always remember, and the places we have never seen before!
2. Tour of SSHS With Tour Guide
We will take a walk around our old stomping ground where we hope to meet some of the new faculty who can talk to us about what's new and what's not!
3. 45min Sweetbreeze Riverboat Tour With Tour Guide
At the 50th Reunion we took the pontoon river tour with a guide and had a blast! Fort Wayne turned those pontoons into beautiful river boats, and we are planning another wonderful guided tour of our rivers from the comfort of these bright and beautiful boat!
The three tours above are "guided" at specific times as a group. They require a certain number of sign-ups in order for them to happen. Classmates will be able to sign up for these tours when the Event Planner is posted.
The tours below are "unguided" activities. They have concierge service desks with employees who are happy to show you around and/or tell you about that destination.
1. Vietnam Memorial Wall
The Veteran's National Memorial Shrine & Museum was founded in the early 1990s by a group of dedicated veterans and volunteers, including our very own Pat Fraizer, who sought to create a lasting legacy of gratitude in the heart of Fort Wayne.The museum's collection encompasses an array of military memorabilia, including uniforms, weaponry, vehicles, and personal mementos. It's a place of reverence, reflection, and inspiration, and a destination that encourages all to honor the men and women who have served their country with valor and dedication.
2. Electric Works
Electric Works stands on the historic grounds of the former General Electric campus, a significant industrial hub that played a pivotal role in Fort Wayne's growth and development throughout the 20th century. 3. Sweetwater
est. 1979
The Sweetwater story began when Chuck Surack transformed his garage into a recording studio. He started by selling recording equipment to local musicians. Sweetwater boasts a massive retail space with hands-on displays. Whether you're a professional musician, an amateur enthusiast, or simply someone who appreciates music, Sweetwater offers an unparalleled experience that will ignite your passion and inspire you to take your musical journey to new heights.
