Sue Ellen Turnpaugh

Sue Ellen Turnpaugh, 76, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Friday, April 1, 2022. She was born February 13, 1946 in South Bend, Indiana, daughter to the late James and Sidonia Klingerman. Sue was a graduate of South Side High School and worked in Material Management at Lutheran Hospital for 42 years, retiring in 2019. She was a volunteer at the Rescue Mission and an active member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, working in the small group ministry, the Women of Bethlehem Group, and helping with church funeral meals. She is survived by her daughter, Melissa Turnpaugh; granddaughters, Kylee and Karlie Turnpaugh; and siblings, Patrick Klingerman, Curt Klingerman (and daughter, Stacy), Sandy Klingerman Campbell (Frank), and Patty Klingerman Walter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gerry K. Turnpaugh in 2000. Funeral services will be on Monday, April 11, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 3705 South Anthony Boulevard, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46806, with visitation one hour prior. Visitation for Sue will also be held Sunday, April 10, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home, 6424 Winchester Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46819. Burial will be at Concordia Gardens Cemetery. Contributions in Sue's memory may be made to the family.
