Betty Milton Obituary

Betty Ann Barnes was born on April 20, 1946 in Fort Wayne, IN to Johnny and Pinkie Barnes. Betty graduated from South Side High School and attended Vincennes University. She united in matrimony on June 3, 1967 to Jimmie Milton, Jr.

Betty was full of life and loved those she came in contact with. Her generosity wasn't just a trait, it was her way of showing she cared. Slipping someone a little "just because" gift was common practice. She also had a playful side that brought joy to her life daily. Betty was a great bowler and could play a mean game of bid whiz, spades, and tonk. Whenever her children would come visit, they knew to bring lottery scratch-off tickets for her in hopes she would win big. At any time, you could catch Betty listening to music and "fast dancing".

Her greatest pride, without question, was her family. Betty could talk about them for hours-bragging, bragging again, and then bragging some more. She celebrated every accomplishment, big or small, and made sure the world knew how blessed she felt to be theirs.

Survivors include, her husband Jimmie Milton, Jr, son, Derrick Milton, daughters, Jamiene (Collin) Hicks, and Lesley Treesh (Ryan) all of Fort Wayne, Indiana, 11 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and a host of family and friends. Her life was full of love, laughter, generosity, and stories that will continue to be told for years to come.
