Michael J. Putman, 73, of Roanoke, IN, died Sunday, Nov. 10, 2019, at 4:06 p.m. at Sage Bluff Health and Rehab, Fort Wayne.

Mr. Putman graduated from Fort Wayne South Side High School in 1965, served in the United States Navy in Vietnam and worked as a quality engineer at Magnavox.  He was a member of Northview Church of Christ, Huntington.
 
He was born Oct. 18, 1946, in Fort Wayne to Theodore and Florence Fritze Putman. He married Linda D. Lahr on Dec. 15, 1973, in Roanoke, and she survives.

Also surviving are a daughter, Angela (Dale) Cordes, of Franklin, TN; a son, Cory (Brandi) Putman, of Roanoke; a brother, Steven (Karen) Putman, of Fort Wayne; and 10 grandchildren, Alexandra (Thomas) Duncan, Jacob Cordes, Gracie Cordes, Caroline Cordes, Caden Eppard, Kaylie Eppard, Baylen Eppard, Bryleigh Stoffel, Colton Putman and Mac Riley Putman.
 
Calling is Saturday, Nov. 16, 2019, from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m., preceding the 11 a.m. memorial service, at Roanoke Memorial Chapel of Deal-Rice Funeral Homes, 240 Crestwood Drive, Roanoke.  Rev. David Schultz will officiate. Huntington VFW Post 2689 will provide military honors.
 
Memorials are to Roanoke American Legion Post 160 for honor flights, in care of Roanoke Memorial Chapel, 240 Crestwood Drive, Roanoke, IN 46783.
