I have been a pre-school teacher for the past twelve years. I am known to my posse there as "Mr. Jim." I supervise the playground and do music and movement with the kids. I write a lot of children's songs, including "There's a T-Rex in My Closet", "Please Don't Try to Eat My Hippopotamus", and "The Ballad of the Big Green Booger". Prior to that, I produced and directed children's theater and taught drama. I started out in the ministry but it was too big a cross to bear/bare.

I gave up my birth date for Lent

Getting an "end spot" at Hall's; watching in awe as Barbie did "The Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy";laughing as our Dean of Women measured the length of skirts; winning a Twist contest with Phyllis Pierson in the Cafeteria; watching in awe as Kenny Clausen did the splits five feet in the air - outside of that, it's all a blur.

Tom Johnson falling in (and out!!) of love every two weeks; Steve Simmons taking the blame when I crashed my Olds 88 into a lamp post when I was fifteen; all-night poker parties where Ron France always won; a lost weekend at Lake James with Paul C., Christine F., T.J. , Liz and I'm not sure who else; Karen Miller, who only dated football players from Bishop Luers (Rats!!!!)

I will be moving my Mommy and Daddy out here to PHX in June, and we're all going to be roomies. You do what you gotta do.
My brother still lives in Ossian. I don't know why.

I have a regular gig at Chopper John's here in PHX on Wednesdays- blues, country, and ,of course, classic rock and roll.
Up-date: lost the gig. That's show biz!!

The most interesting travels have been in my head. It's been a very strange journey, but I like myself a lot more than that scared, over-compensating teenager.
