ERIC KURTZ OBITUARY

ERIC L. "RICK" KURTZ, 76, of Fort Wayne, met his Heavenly Father on Saturday, Aug. 27, 2022. Born July 20, 1946, in Fort Wayne, he was a son of the late Arthur G. and Eunice E. (Lahr man) Kurtz. He served for two years in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam war. He worked at Hartman Plastering, International Harvester, Mutual Securities Life Insurance, and retired from P.H.D. as a machinist in 2011. He was a member at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Fort Wayne. Surviving family include his wife of 52 years, Diane Kurtz; brother, Kevin (Angie) Kurtz of Utah; two aunts, Wilma Maggart and Roselyn Deckert; and numerous cousins. Besides his parents, he was preceded in passing by his brother, Arthur G. Kurtz III. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 2, 2022, at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 917 West Jefferson Blvd., Fort Wayne, with visitation one hour prior. Visitation also from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 1, 2022, at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road, Fort Wayne. Burial will be at Concordia Lutheran Cemetery, Fort Wayne.
