Subsequent to this entry, Toni Heathman used the Social Security Death Index, Find A Grave, to find the cemetery, Vestal Hills Memorial Park, where Hans is buried.  They sent her the Obituary, seen below.

Toni added that Hans is on the same lot at Vestal Hills Memorial Park as his parents Walter ( 1977)  and Freida (1998). Hans has a military headstone that reads:

The Cemetery told her, back in April 2015, that Hans is buried with a brother. The brother's grave appears to be unmarked.

OBITUARY:

Staff Sergeant Hans J. Wegner, 27, of Vestal, formaerly of Ft. Wayne, IN, died Saturday, June 24, at the United States Air Force Hospital, Tachikawa Air Base, Japan.

He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Wegner, Vestal, one sister, Mrs. Jawad (Christ) Adham, Vestal, two nieces, Jasmin Adham, Soraya Adhan, both of Vestal, on nephew Omar Adham, Vestal.

Local arrangements are by the Colemand & Daniels Funeral Home, 300 E. Main St., Endicott.  There will be no calling hours.  The family requests that contributions be sent to the American Red Cross.
