I really got to know Sue during our 45th Reunion in 2009. We kept in contact after that, and when she shared her diagnosis, we became prayer partners.

Sue was a wonderful person, full of joy for everyone she met. I still have one of her pieces of art work from South Side. During her final years she was on Facebook and her posts were always uplifting. Her last post was that she had a serious relapse and hoped to get back. She put her faith out where it could be a force for good. Didn't hide it under a bushel basket. I loved that. Bud, our hearts are with you. She was a great blessing. Will love you guys always. So very sorry for your loss. A wonderful person and a great light has passed. Amen

I was sorry to hear of the death of Sue Eversman Stier. Growing-up, I lived in the 100 block of Sherwood Terrace and the Eversmans lived in the 300 block. I first met Sue when she was ridding her bicycle and I was ridding mine on Sherwood. At first Sue was very shy. She did not talk to me. As I could carry on a conversation for both of us, she did not have to speak for a few days. She later told me that she did not know where I had come from! I was just on her street one day! This must have been when we were 7 or 8 years old. Sue and I went to Harrison Hill and South Side together. I had lost track of her until she was at our 45th SSHS Class reunion. We had a great conversation there, remembering things of our Harrison Hill days. Sue will be missed!

She sat next to me in home room. We got in touch & then lost touch. I did not know about her cancer. She was such a wonderful person !

I have thought off and on about Sue and tonight is the night to share some thouhts. Sue and I go back many years, starting at Harrison Hill and Brownies. She was the quiet one but always kind and up for any adventure that was planned. If you needed a friend, she was there.
Tonight marks the end of another St Joe, Indiana Pickle Festival; complete with Pickle ice cream, walks, craft booths and fireworks! She was one of the co-founders for this festival. I am watching fireworks form my kitchen window, remembering Sue. I was pleased that she atended the 45th reunion and would have enjoyed seeing her at the 50th. So.............rest in peace Sue. Your legacy lives on!! The SSHS Class of 64 had/has some amazing people who have made this world a better place; in small ways as well as large ways!
