PASTOR ROBERT V. WILLIAMS Obituary

 
PASTOR ROBERT V. WILLIAMS, 67, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Monday, May 6, 2013. Born May 28, 1945, he was a 1964 South Side High School graduate; served in the Army; worked at Dana for 10 years; and was an entrepreneur. He was a member of Evangelist Center Church of God in Christ. Surviving are his children, Alisa Brooks, Sierra DuBose, Danielle Williams, Glenn Brewer, Jason Brooks, and Daniel Williams; sister, Joann (Donald) Nelson; and 12 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jacqueline; and siblings, Ralph, Jettie Martin, Ramona Govan, and Francine Townsend. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Wednesday at Kingdom Door Christian Worship Center, with visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. Burial in Lindenwood Cemetery. Arrangements by Ellis Funeral Home.

In order for some of our Classmates to remember Robert, it might be helpful to know that he was very active in Sports while at South Side:

Senior Year:

  Varsity Football, Letterman's Club, Half-Back All City Honorable Mention

 Junior Year:

  Varsity Track, Letterman's Club

Bobby,

I enjoyed playing football, while at South Side, you were a hard man to bring down.  That was good for me, because you made me a better player.  I took those skills with me, while playing college ball in California.

You always were a class act. Rest In Peace
