Sunday9th Inning Brunch#2
Sunday Morning: 9th Inning Brunch September 28th 10:00am-12:30pm
Please finish the Ballgame's 50th Reunion line up by joining us back at PARKVIEW Field for a hearty ‘Sunday 9th Inning Brunch’ of Scrambled Eggs, Buttermilk Biscuits with Sausage Gravy, Hash Browns, Bacon, Assorted Pastries, Butter, Jellies, Coffee, & Orange Juice for $15.00/person. We will again be in the Suite Level Lounge to see a re-run of the City’s Skyline in the Morning light, much different from the bright lights of last night. You’re safe at home for a final look at the running DVD Memory videos, a final stretch around Memory Lane, and connecting with those you have missed so far, or take that Tour of the Stadium, if you missed it last night. This Brunch has become a special low key time to relax, and review the Reunion. We pass around the mic as many classmates reflect, tell reunion stories, laugh about things said and done over the weekend, & share ideas as we plan for our next gathering ~ the 55th Reunion!

OUR STORYTELLERS & THEIR STORIES:
That's all I can remember saying and my husband can't remember anything that I said!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I mentioned the fact that I was the only one who golfed in the outing, and I did play the Donald Ross course. For coming in first, I did not receive a trophy or at the very least a sleeve of golf balls. I guess I should bring that up with Phil. I finished in time for lunch and after my own drive-by tour of South Side High School, I found a Burmese Restaurant on the opposite corner of the Rialto Theater. I highly recommend the restaurant. While having lunch I met Rick Kinney who at the time was the Technical Director of the Embassy Theatre and is working on a project to renovate the Clyde Theater. I have attached the word document that explains the Clyde Theatre Renovation and Quimby Village Revitalization Project.

I woke up this morning feeling regrets that I hadn’t seen everyone I wanted to see, hadn’t said what I really wanted to say, was too superficial with people that had meant so much to me. It all went by too fast and there are so many people to catch up with. I just wanted to say now that seeing all of you, some after a brief time, some after 50 years, is really important to me. You must feel the same way or you wouldn’t be here. Many of us went to school together from Kindergarten through high school, many of us in the same classes for years. Your names are indelible in my memory. We are so lucky to still know people that knew us as children. Many of my friends where I live now cannot believe I still know so many people from growing up. Some of them don’t know anyone from this period of their lives. We were also so lucky to go to the schools we went to and to have the kind of education we received. So if I didn’t say it in the brief time we chatted, this is what I meant to say. You are all very important to me.

First of all the reunion team was nothing short of phenomenal.
The one thing I observed, was the successful talent of our class.
What I was able to take with me, is the memories that were lost while in Vietnam. What all you did have done for me is too refresh those great moments.
I CAN'T THANK ALL of YOU ENOUGH FOR GIVING BACK those HAPPY TIMES. In the immortal words of Bob Hope, 'Thanks For The Memories'.
You are all 'Memory Maker's. God bless

-As a spouse of one of the South Side Classmates ( Pat Fraizer ) I would like to express how welcomed I felt both at Friday nights get together as well as the reunion itself held on Saturday. Not knowing 99% of the people attending can be very akward & uncomfortable. This was not the case with this group. A Special Thanks to everyone who made my time a very enjoyable one.

At this time I'll put in another plug for early planning. Comments were made, not negative, that it was essential for attendance that dates be picked more than one year in advance. The common consensus was 18 months in advance if possible.
Again, everyone thanks you for all your work!!!
PS: I saw on Facebook today that there were many favorable comments. I don't usually go on Facebook but some new pix of my granddaughter were posted so I wanted to see those.
I especially was honored by my fellow class mates giving the respect for our veterans Thank you from my heart, Pat Fraizer Vietnam Veteran

The SSHS Class of '64 had a grand three day weekend. I think the important thing to remember for the 55th, when one receives a post card in the mail telling them about the "Date to Save"......maybe mark the date down. Just thinking............
